This is a 17 year old Springbank single malt finished in Madeira casks, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 14 years maturing in a combination of Bourbon and Rum casks, followed by three years in fresh Madeira casks.
The nose is sweet and jammy, with parma violets, boiled sweets, buttery tablet and fennel, alongside ginger cake, strawberry jam and a coastal saltiness. The palate is briny with light peat smoke, sticky toffee pudding and black pepper. The finish is nutty, with walnuts and pecans.
