St George 40th Anniversary Single Malt American Whiskey (75cl, 48%)

This is the 40th Anniversary Edition of St. George Single Malt Whiskey, released by St. George to mark 40 years of distilling. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 750ml bottle, in a limited edition of 1,982 bottles. The whiskey draws on the distillery's growing range of finishing casks, and the whiskeys in the bottling are between 4 and 13 years old. It is lightly filtered. The nose opens with cola, dark chocolate and lager, moving to brown butter, salted caramel, fennel and sandalwood. On the palate come dark chocolate, walnut fudge, cinnamon, clove and candied ginger, ending in soft smoke and barbecue char.
