St. George Absinthe Verte is an American absinthe distilled in Alameda, California. It is bottled at 60% ABV in a 20cl bottle.
It starts with a brandy base macerated with wormwood, star anise and fennel, double-distilled, then infused with fresh mint, tarragon, lemon balm, hyssop, basil and nettle, which give its natural green colour.
The nose is herbaceous, with anise, tarragon, basil, wormwood, mint and citrus peel. The palate is rich and viscous, anise-led with earthy, peppery, citrus-tinged herbal flavours. The finish is long and warming, with liquorice, white pepper and citrus.
