Botanivore is a gin from St. George Spirits, built around 19 different herbs, spices, fruits and roots rather than a single dominant botanical, so juniper sits among them instead of leading.
It was developed by master distiller Lance Winters with Jörg Rupf and distiller Dave Smith. Rupf founded the distillery in Alameda, California in 1982, in a former World War II airplane hangar on San Francisco Bay.
The gin is bright, complex, green and spicy, and suits a martini.
