This is a six year old German single malt from St.Kilian, matured in a single cask that previously held Tokaji Aszú wine. Cask number 4760 gave 363 bottles at cask strength, 58.8% vol., in a 50cl bottle.
The Tokaji Aszú cask brings a fruity, elegant sweetness to the whisky. It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring.
On the nose there is honey, apricot, dried fruit and a little oak spice. The palate is full and complex, with yellow fruit, caramel, spice and a balanced sweetness, leading to a long, warm finish.
