Stagg Batch 24C is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel strength, 128.9 proof, in a 750ml bottle. It is a 2024 batch of Buffalo Trace's annual cask-strength bourbon, formerly known as Stagg Jr.
It uses the Buffalo Trace high-rye mash bill and is close to a decade old.
The nose shows rich chocolate, brown sugar and bold rye spice. The palate is sweet chocolate and caramel with firm rye spiciness, full-bodied and powerful. The finish is long, with cherries, cloves and smoke.
