Stagg Batch 25C is an unfiltered, barrel-strength Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Stagg series was formerly called George T. Stagg. This batch is bottled at 62.8% ABV, without chill filtration, in a 750ml bottle.
Its strength reflects the barrels chosen for this particular batch, which matured in new charred American oak.
The nose is rich with caramel, dark chocolate, toasted oak, molasses and deep spice. The palate is full-bodied, with brown sugar, roasted nuts, vanilla, dark fruit and peppery cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with oak, dark chocolate, tobacco and robust spice.
