Stagg Batch 25D is a 2025 release of Buffalo Trace's annual cask-strength bourbon, named for George T. Stagg. The brand was called Stagg Jr until 2022, and each batch varies in proof and character. This one is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 64.6% ABV (129.2 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
On the nose it offers caramelised sugar, oak char and a warm, spicy lift. The palate brings rich toffee, dark spice and concentrated bourbon sweetness with plenty of heat, followed by a long finish of oak and lingering pepper.
