Staoisha is the heavily peated spirit made at Bunnahabhain on Islay, and this is an independent single malt bottled by Hart Brothers at 50% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings campfire smoke, seaweed and smoked bacon, with citrus peel, vanilla and soft malt. The palate is full and robust, with intense peat smoke, a salty edge, sweet malt, peppery spice and a little citrus. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, maritime notes and gentle spice.
