A single malt from Starward, distilled in Victoria, Australia, and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of its Own Selection.
It was matured in a former Apera cask. Apera is a sweet wine similar to sherry.
The nose is led by strong sherry-like Apera and oak, with dried apricot, peach and raisins following after a little time. On the palate come dried fruit, marzipan and cherry, with the sherry-like character staying throughout and vanilla joining in. The finish is long and warm.
