Starward – Fortis Single Malt Australian Whisky (50%)

Starward Fortis is a big, robust Australian single malt, matured entirely in American oak casks that previously held Australian red wine. It is bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration. The nose shows strawberry and blackcurrant jam with chocolate, hazelnut and gingerbread. On the palate there is toasted oak with fig, date and red berries. The finish is lightly earthy, with vanilla, blackberry and orange.
