This is a limited edition from the Australian distillery Starward, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It was launched in late 2023 and first released by ballot, with some later sold through duty free outlets.
Starward's signature red wine barrel-matured malt was finished for a further 18 months in ex-Lagavulin barrels, bringing together Starward's tropical notes and the smokiness of Islay's Lagavulin. The result is an intensely flavoured, smoky dram.
