This is a single barrel Australian single malt from Starward, chosen by the distillery's founder, David Vitale, as one of his favourites.
The whisky comes from a 2012 American oak barrique that previously held fresh red wine from the Barossa Valley. Starward matures its whisky in Melbourne.
The nose is chamomile tea, acacia and white peaches. The palate is light-bodied with a delicate mouthfeel, bringing honeysuckle, stewed apple and rhubarb. The finish is delicate and lingering, with white nectarine and honey.
