Starward – Solera Australian Malt Whisky Apera Wine Barrels (70cl, 43%)

Starward Solera is an Australian single malt, and it was the first whisky Starward made. It is twice distilled from Australian malted barley, fermented with brewers' yeast. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is fully matured in Apera casks. Apera is an Australian fortified wine similar to sherry. Because it is made by the solera process, every bottle holds a drop of that very first whisky. The nose offers bright tropical and orchard fruits with caramel and vanilla. The palate brings toasty caramel, creme brûlée, banana, figs and sweet spice, and the finish is juicy and full with a lingering dry spice.
