This single cask Stauning Danish Peat single malt marks 100 years of Juuls. It was distilled in November 2015, matured for more than 10 years and bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.2%. Only 226 bottles were filled. The nose opens with fresh threshed grain, hay, tropical fruit and subtle smoke, and a few drops of water bring out darker, stronger smoke. The palate is intense and full, with vanilla, ripe stone fruit, caramel, pepper and peat. The long finish carries warm spices, malt and lingering smoke.
