Stauning Smoke Tawny Port Cask is a Danish single malt in a 70cl bottle, made from 100% floor-malted Danish barley grown in West Jutland. The barley is smoked with local peat and heather, then double distilled in copper stills. The whisky is matured in first-fill Tawny Port casks from Porto. This edition is limited to 3,910 bottles. The nose is described as sweet campfire smoke, thyme and heather honey. On the palate come salted caramel, citrus fruit and soft smoke, and the finish brings ripe plum, toffee and a lingering smokiness.
