Stillhead – Bartender's Rye Whisky (75cl, 46%)

Stillhead Bartender's Rye is a Canadian rye whisky from the Stillhead distillery in Duncan, British Columbia, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was developed with cocktail use in mind and is made entirely from rye grown in British Columbia. The whisky matures in custom West Virginia American oak casks, air-dried for 18 months and given a heavy toast and a #2 char. The nose is rustic, with rye grain, burnt caramel, vanilla, black pepper, anise, liquorice, cinnamon and fresh orange. The palate is spicy and herbaceous, with green pepper, fennel, menthol, maple and cigar-box notes, and the finish is dry and peppery.
