Stillhead Garry Oak is a Canadian single grain rye whisky from Stillhead Distillery in Duncan, British Columbia. It is a limited release built around native Garry oak, and the bottle is the second edition.
It combines whisky aged entirely in refill Garry oak with rye that spent three years in new American oak and then a further two years in once-used Garry oak casks sourced in Oregon. It is bottled at 50% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is deep, with dark honey, molasses, toasted oak and baking spices. On the palate come rye spice, cola, cocoa and roasted coffee, and the finish is long and warming with coffee, cocoa and dry toasted oak.
