A straight rye from Spreewood Distillers in Schlepzig, Germany, made from 100% rye and bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is natural in colour.
The nose has fresh espresso and dark chocolate alongside the spice of rye, with soft caramel, vanilla and a touch of coconut. On the palate, firm rye character meets creamy toffee and a little fruit, with black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. The finish is long, with bitter chocolate and a precise, spicy note.
