A Strathisla single malt from Speyside, distilled on 23 November 1967 and matured for 58 years in oak. Gordon & MacPhail bottled 50 bottles from cask 6116 on 17 July 2026 at 55%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The release marks Chinese New Year 2027, the first Year of the Fire Goat since the year of distillation. The whisky is mahogany in colour.
The nose has dates and figs with honey, dark chocolate and cinnamon, over leather, tobacco and a fine resin note. The palate is full, with sweet chocolate, creamy toffee and roasted nuts, plus spicy oak, a touch of pepper and tobacco. The finish is long and dry, with oak, tobacco and leather.
