This is a 15 year old Strathisla single malt from Speyside, released as Darkness and bottled at 55% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It has been finished in sherry casks.
The distillery was founded in 1786 in Keith under the name Milltown, which makes it the oldest in Speyside. After a eventful history of fire, explosion and changes of owner and name, it has been called Strathisla since 1949.
Its water comes from the Broomhill Spring, and its whisky is at the heart of Chivas Regal.
