This Strathisla was distilled in 1989 and bottled at 30 years old by the independent bottler Wilson & Morgan, at 48% ABV. It is a floral Speyside malt with a dry maltiness, lifted slightly by a touch of Oloroso sherry influence that leaves its firm elegance intact.
The nose is elegant yet lively, floral, mineral and waxy, with a little pepper and fresh, fragrant orange peel. The palate brings butter biscuits and honey. The finish is a peppery dryness.
