Strathmill 13 Year Old 2009 is a Speyside single malt bottled by James Eadie for its Single Cask series, as a release for the United Kingdom market. It was distilled in 2009, matured in first fill Oloroso quarter casks and bottled in 2023, giving 305 numbered bottles.
Quarter casks are small, so the spirit meets more wood and the Oloroso sherry influence is stronger. It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour.
The notes describe dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warming spice, with Strathmill's soft, fruity spirit still in view.
