Stronachie 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled by A. D. Rattray, made to commemorate the long-lost Stronachie distillery. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines heather honey, malt and almond with grassy, fruity and dry notes. The palate is creamy and spicy, with malt, a touch of smoke, more almond, then toffee and fruit. The finish is medium and nutty. It opens with a firm attack of toasted nuts and malt, balanced by toffee sweetness.
