Sullivans Cove – French Oak Single Tawny Cask (70cl)

This is a single cask Tasmanian single malt from Sullivans Cove, aged in 300 litre French oak barrels that previously held tawny. It comes in a 70cl bottle. As a single cask bottling, each small batch differs, showing the character of its own barrel. Sullivans Cove French Oak won World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014, a result that helped bring Australian whisky wider attention. The nose offers dark chocolate, cinnamon and raisins. The palate brings fruit cake, dark toffee and orange peel. The finish is lingering, with herbal oak and Christmas pudding.
