This is a single malt from Hakushu, the Suntory distillery in the mountains of Yamanashi prefecture, Japan. It is a blend of whiskies made at the distillery and is bottled at 43% ABV. The nose is fresh, with green fruit, mint and conifer. On the palate come green apple, pear, kiwi and basil, along with a light note of peat smoke. The finish is clean and fresh, with a little vanilla and oak.
