Suntory The Chita

Suntory The Chita is a single grain Japanese whisky made at the Chita Distillery on the shores of Ise Bay. It is the grain whisky that plays a part in blending Suntory whiskies such as Hibiki, and it is also bottled to be drunk on its own. It is matured in a mix of wine, Spanish oak and American white oak casks, and is light-bodied and smooth. The nose brings crème brûlée, cardamom, acacia honey and blossoming rose. The palate is mild and smooth, with a hint of mint and deep honey. The finish is clean and clear, with spiced oak and subtle bittersweet notes.
