Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year Old 100th Anniversary Edition (70cl, 43%)

Yamazaki 12 Year Old 100th Anniversary Edition is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, marking 100 years of Suntory whisky making. In 1923 Shinjiro Torii began building the Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's first malt whisky distillery. The whisky is the usual Yamazaki 12 Year Old, made from malts matured for at least twelve years in different cask types, including American, Spanish and Japanese Mizunara oak. The anniversary bottle has a limited design in deep copper tones. It is bottled at 43% ABV. Peach, pineapple and grapefruit on the nose come with clove, candied orange, vanilla and Mizunara oak. The palate has coconut, cranberry and a soft, buttery texture. The finish is long and elegant, with sweet ginger and cinnamon.
