This is a single cask Highlands single malt from the Flashback Series, edition number 12, bottled by Swell de Spirits at 54.2% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It comes from the 2000 vintage and is described as more than 25 years old.
It was matured in two stages, in ex-bourbon and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks, and is lightly peated and bottled at cask strength. The outturn is 353 bottles.
The nose brings burnt rubber, old engine oil and smoky caramel, with vanilla cheesecake and coconut rice pudding. On the palate there are tyre smoke, hay, waffles with maple syrup, baked apples and spiced orange chocolate. The finish is long and silky, with salted porridge and worn leather.
