T-Rex Rye is a Canadian rye whisky from T-Rex Distillery in St. Albert, Alberta, made from 100% Canadian rye grain. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The character is led by rye, with warming spice, oak and a little smoke, and a touch of butterscotch sweetness for balance.
On the nose, cinnamon and pepper sit alongside oak, caramelised sweetness and gentle smoke. The palate opens with bold rye spice, moving to cracked pepper, cinnamon and seasoned oak. The finish is medium and spicy, with rye, pepper and oak, and a little sweetness at the end.
