Tahwahkaro Rye is a Texas rye whiskey bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is more than three and a half years old. The mash bill is 68% malted rye, 17% rye, 6% corn, 6% wheat and 3% CaraAmber malt. The nose offers black tea, caramel and vanilla with spices. On the palate come caramel, dark fruit with white pepper, dark chocolate, buttered toast and spice. The finish is long, with peppery chocolate on buttered toast.
