This is the official distillery bottling of Talisker 10 Year Old, a Scotch single malt bottled at 45.8% ABV. It is gold in colour.
The peat is less in-your-face than in many whiskies, yet the malt is still big and assertive. Soot, ashes, smoke, brine and seaweed come through on the nose.
On the palate it is smoky and very briny, with a citrus background. The finish is medium long and compact, ending on a lemony, salty aftertaste.
