Talisker – 12 Year Old 2011-2024 Douglas Laing Old Particular Single Cask DL18393 (70cl, 57%)

This is a 12 year old Talisker single malt from the Islands, bottled by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in September 2011 and bottled in March 2024 at a natural cask strength of 57%, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky was matured in a single refill hogshead, cask DL18393, and 311 bottles were produced. It was bottled exclusively for Inverness Whisky. The label notes describe salty sea air and smoke on the nose, then sweet summer tar and soot. Sugar and peat arrive late and run towards the finish.
