This is a Talisker single malt distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2006 as part of The Distillers Edition. It was double matured in Amoroso sherry wood and comes in a 200ml bottle at 45.8% ABV.
The nose is fruity, with rubber, prunes, oranges and caramel, and a little mild pepper. On the palate it is full-bodied, salty and peppery, with prominent smoke and earthy notes balanced by orange and lemon sweetness. The finish is medium in length, peppery and warming, ending on dried fruits and herbs.
