Talisker 25 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition, matured mostly in bourbon hogsheads and partly in European refill casks.
Light gold in colour, it is firm, rich and smoky. The nose has oak furniture, cider apples, banana, fudge, mandarin, orange, liquorice and brown sugar.
On the palate come heather, roses, salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley and nectarines, creamy and waxy. The finish is very long, the smoke turning sweet, with cedar wood.
