Talisker – 30 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 49.5%)

Talisker 30 Year Old is a single malt from the Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye, beside Loch Harport. This is the 2023 release, bottled at 49.5% in a 70cl bottle. Thirty years of maturation soften the distillery's signature smoke and pepper, giving a more integrated, mellow style than its younger siblings would suggest. The nose combines vanilla, light red fruit, seaweed and faint smoke with a soft, creamy undertone. On the palate, creamy oak, almond milk, citrus and stone fruit sit alongside dry smoke and subtle salt. The finish is long and warming, with gentle dryness, soft smoke and white pepper.
