This Talisker was distilled on the Isle of Skye in 1987 and matured for 39 years in a refill sherry butt. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2026 for its Connoisseurs Choice series, at a cask strength of 51.4% ABV.
The nose combines maritime notes with light smoke and peppery spice, rounded by fine sherry. The palate has rich sherry and concentrated dried fruit, set against the structure of old oak and a subtle saltiness. The finish is long, with dry, spicy oak and the warmth of pepper.
