Talisker 8 Years Old is part of the Diageo Special Release series for 2021. It was made from the smokiest reserves at the distillery on the Isle of Skye and matured in refill casks. It is bottled at a batch strength of 59.7%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose brings sweet maritime notes, grain, oats and salted seagrass, with strong smoke. The palate is oily and powerful, mixing salty and sweet notes with Talisker's chilli catch. The finish is long and warming, with pepper and sweet smoke.
