This is an 8 year old single malt from Talisker, a Special Release from 2021, in a 70cl bottle at 59.7% ABV.
The nose opens sweet, with vanilla and sponge cake, before turning to beach bonfires and salty seaweed, with stone fruit behind. On the palate there is plenty of black pepper and smoke, along with heather, honey and peaches.
The finish is long and fiery, with black pepper and chilli and a little caramel.
