Talisker – Skye (70cl, 45.8%)

Talisker Skye is a single malt introduced in early 2015 and named after the island where the distillery stands. It is bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in refill and toasted American oak casks, with a slightly larger share of toasted wood. Fresh citrus, sweet smoke and the maritime tones of Talisker shape its profile. The nose brings toffee and vanilla ice cream, a little coastal influence and very restrained smoke. On the palate come toasted oak with honey, juicy wood, apple pastry, a little pepper and smoke, and hints of lemon and lime. The finish is drying and less sweet, with hints of spice and smoke.
