Talisker Storm is a single malt without an age statement, first released in early 2013 and bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in selected refill and charred American oak casks, and is described as intense and lively, with plenty of distillery character and some added smoky depth.
The nose starts with brine, creamier than the 10 year old, and white pepper builds towards the bottom of the glass. The palate is thick and mouth-coating, with wood smoke, brine, a hint of tin and chilli. The finish brings red chillies, oak dryness and a touch of embers.
