Talisker Surge is a limited edition single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a high proportion of ex-bourbon casks, which bring citrus and vanilla sweetness alongside the distillery's maritime smoke.
The nose offers sea spray, citrus peel, vanilla, green apple and gentle coastal smoke. Lemon zest, honey and orchard fruit meet pepper and light peat smoke on the palate. The long finish brings smoky warmth, cracked black pepper, sweet vanilla and sea salt.
