Talisker Surge is a Travel Exclusive single malt from the Isle of Skye, in a 70cl bottle at 45.8% ABV. It matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks, which add sweet, vanilla tones to the maritime spirit.
The nose offers spicy smoke and sea salt over salted caramel and vanilla. On the palate come sweet berries, crisp apples, sea salt and runny honey, with pepper and gentle smoke emerging later. The finish is long, with a chilli kick.
