Talisker Wilder Seas is a limited edition single malt from the Isle of Skye, made in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans and bottled at 48.6% in a 70cl bottle. It supports Wild Sea Forests.
The whisky is made from peated malted barley and finished in XO Cognac casks. The clear bottle carries a white and blue topographic design.
The nose is malty, with fruit bread, dark berries and a hint of tobacco over subtle peat smoke and salty coastal notes. On the palate, saltiness comes first, then sultanas and figs, with gentle peat and a peppery edge. The finish is long, with fine smoke and fruit as the salt fades.
