This Tamdhu is a 15 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 by Cadenhead's as part of its Original Collection. It is non-chill-filtered, with no added colour, and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Tamdhu is best known for sherry-driven whiskies, but this one was finished in a refill bourbon cask from October 2022, which lets the malty distillery character come through.
The nose offers honey, apple, vanilla, light citrus and soft malt. The palate is round and smooth, with malt sweetness, ripe pear, vanilla, light spice and a soft woody note. The finish is medium long, clean and slightly dry.
