This is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, a limited release bottled at 46%. It is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered.
The whisky was matured in European and American oak Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery uses pot stills and water from its own spring, and the barley is malted in Speyside.
On the nose there is apple bread, spiced redcurrant and orange peel, with pineapple and fennel. The palate brings juicy apricot, raspberry, lemon tart and creamy almonds. The finish is very long, with warming malt biscuit, cream sherry and vanilla.
