Tamdhu 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Tamdhu Distillery at Knockando, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It is a yearly release, first introduced in 2019.
The whisky is matured entirely in Oloroso sherry-seasoned casks of American and European oak from Jerez, Spain. It is bottled with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose is fruit-led, with apple pastry, spiced currants and orange zest, then vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate come apricot, raspberry, lemon tart and almonds, and the finish is long and warming, with malt biscuit and cream sherry.
