Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a limited-release single malt, introduced for the distillery's 125th anniversary. It was matured for 18 years in Oloroso sherry casks made from American oak and European oak, then bottled at 46.8% without chill-filtering.
The nose offers ripe dark cherries and plums, a touch of nutty sherry, milk chocolate, rum and raisin, citrus and toasted oats. On the palate the sherry is rich and complex, alongside vanilla, brown sugar, red apples and dried fruit.
The finish is long and warming, with dried apricots, dates, soft spice and stewed apples.
