Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt aged for eighteen years in Oloroso sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks from Jerez. It is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
Tamdhu matures all its whisky in sherry casks, and this one is described as full-bodied and mouth-coating.
The nose brings raisin, fig and dark cherry with orange peel and honeyed malt. On the palate are stewed plums, sultanas, sherry-soaked fruitcake, toffee and dark cocoa, with spice building gently. The finish is long, with dried fruit, mocha and oak spice.
