This is an 18-year-old Tamdhu distilled in 2008 and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd for their The Auld and the Bold Collection. Tamdhu is a Speyside distillery known for rich, full-bodied whiskies. The 18 years include a finishing period in a single moscatel cask. It is bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. Dense red fruits sit alongside apricot conserve and ripe peach, with a hint of coconut and candied ginger adding gentle heat. The finish brings soft oak and a glowing, spiced warmth.
